Hi,
Just got my results that I have high risk hpv, anyone in Scotland know if that means I also have abnormal cells? My results letter doesn't say but what I've read implies I do.

Also, having a pity party...
Emergency c section a while back - terrible. Caused worrying pain for months that doc couldn't diagnose.

5months ago found a lump on my thyroid, had to go for ultrasounds, feels like it gets bigger by the day. Its a nodule but have to go yearly now to have checks.

Now this.
I can't catch a break.
And everything take months. 13 weeks to get this result and now I've to wait 8 weeks to even receive an appointment letter for an appointment that will no doubt be months away.
I'm fed up of constantly worrying about my health. Before this I never had anything health concerns. I'm tired. And sad.

Don't panic just yet. I had abnormal cells a few years back. Luckily they were low grade changes, and involved just watching and waiting and they then remedied themselves apparently, and the hpv also cleared. They'll check you over at your next appointment (presuming it'll be a colposcopy?).

The good news is that if there are changes to your cervix they tend to change very slowly.

Hope you get your follow up appointment soon and that your overall health improves. I do feel you, I seem to have one ailment after another at the moment and it is getting very very dull...

Yea my next appointment is for a colposcopy. I had one done at 18 because of abnormal changes (because I was so young) thought I was dying then too 😑
What worrys me most is we're now every 5 years for smear tests and I was due when I was pregnant so couldn't have one. I'm probably now 6 years since my last smear which feels like a long time to not know somethings up.
