HELP - Dentist just called

Had xrays taken at dentist last week and have just had a phone call where the dentist is asking for me to come in and discuss what has shown up on the xray. Has anyone had a similar experience?
As will not find out for a week what is going or any ideas what has shown up.
as now panicking.

I would ask them to give you a hint to stop you worrying. Maybe some decay so needs a filling/root canal?

Probably a cavity or a bit of decay that couldn't be spotted by eye

For mine it was a significant infection above a front tooth that has no decay and has been asymptomatic. Showed a large circular area on the bone in my upper jaw was affected. Advice was a root canal ASAP as risk of loosing this tooth was high - had it done a week later and am back next week to review if it has been successful.
