Blood in poo

Was wondering if anyone can give me reasons for blood in my poo other than bowel cancer as that's all my googling gives me as a result?

I've been bleeding quite a lot when going for a no 2 also and seem to poo multiple times a day (when I was a once in the morning regular as clockwork kind of person!).

I've been to the GP & have an appt for bloods to be drawn and also waiting for a FIT test to come in the post but in the meantime all my googling keeps bringing me back to bowel cancer!

I'd love to hear other viable diagnoses as I'm freaking myself out a bit! TIA!

No, don't take any medication at all & no changes in diet or usual habits & generally feel fit as a fiddle (albeit a bit overweight and could do with losing a couple of stone, but that's normal for me also sadly!)

For anyone interested in an update, FIT test came back normal (phew!) as did the blood tests. Dr said they didn't test for coeliac therefore need another blood test for this. Also need to see a colo rectal consultant as there is still blood in my poo and dr said it could be bowel inflammation etc so need to figure that out. But at least it's not bowel cancer, which was my big worry. Hopefully, whatever it is, ill be ok!
