They are just on one cheek. Appeared out of nowhere, but they don't seem to show any signs of going away.

Milia maybe.
Would probably need piercing to get the contents out

I was going to say maybe milia

Thanks for those responses. If they need piercing, do I need to find a dermatologist or would a GP or nurse do it. As it is right in the middle of my cheek, are there likely to be scars and would it be possible to use normal moisturiser/makeup again?

They don't "need" piercing - you can leave them alone and they are totally harmless. Some people have them for years.

You can piece them yourself and then squeeze them out if they're bothering you. You can buy sterile micro lances online but be careful as they're verrry sharp.

The other thing you can do is to massage the areas a couple of times a day with some facial oil and they should eventually break down and dissipate.

Whatever you do, don't try to squeeze them without lancing or you'll make a right mess of your face.

I don't think a GP or nurse would do this as it's not necessary.
