I am very anxious tonight and would appreciate any advice or experiences.
Over the weekend I felt a pressure below and noticed I was going to the toilet more often than normal - and when I did go I felt like I had to go again not long after. I had this several months ago and it was a UTI ( my first ever) so I had antibiotics which were then changed after lab results and it settled down.
I called the doctors today in case it was a UTI again- I had to go in to give a
sample. At this point I had not seen blood in my urine however the nurse told
me there was blood in the sample (after asking if I was on my period) and she
would have the doctor write a prescription. About twenty minutes later the doctor called me and said that given the only sign was blood in urine he wanted to wait for the lab results and would be in touch.
This evening I now have blood when I wipe after going to the loo but urine looks clear- period is not due to next week. This is my second UTI and I am not sure how worried I should be about this?
I plan to call the doctors back tomorrow morning and ask if there is anyway something could be prescribed as I am worried it is a UTI getting worse. It will be Thursday before the lab result is back apparently.
I am also due to go away on Wednesday - Sunday and feeling v nervous about this / debating if I should cancel or if that’s an overreaction.
Sorry if I am rambling and thanks for reading / any advice. I know I need to contact my GP and will do in the morning I just know I will be thinking about this all night and would be grateful to hear any experiences.
