Chest infection?

I am asthmatic and have had chest infections before but this feels different. I have had a bad cough for almost 4 weeks. (Covid tests negative). I cough so much I retch and bring up what can only be described as yellow snot. Its not getting any better though. I can't tell if my chest hurts or my back or both. I work full time and often travel and am a lone parent so trying to get to the doctors is hard enough let alone getting an appointment. Am I going to have to give in and try and go or does anyone think this will go?

Go now, to a minor illness unit

Definitely get checked out, its been a number of weeks, you're bringing up yellow phlegm and not feeling any better. I do understand that feeling of being busy and not having time, but your health is important you need to prioritise yourself and being seen ASAP, especially as you have asthma.

Anything after 3 weeks and bringing up green/yellow stuff and there is risk of a bacterial infection. Yes book in with GP and likely antibiotics and chest X-ray.
