Antibiotics for acne

Dc 13 has moderate acne. It's limited to her face. The GP has tried various creams and topical antibiotics which help short term but then the problem returns / worsens. We have a call on Monday with the GP again and will ask to try oral antibiotics which they've already said will be the next step. Trouble is, dc cannot for love or money swallow tablets. Are there any specific acne antibiotics (the cyclines?) available in liquid form?

Hi there. This is not what you asked, but I am 34 and had back acne my whole life.

I was recommended to try hibbiscrub which is just a wash really. It has actually cured it. I am in total shock. I worked in the beauty industry and had tried everything so this was a really simple unexpected solution.

Worth giving it a go, it's only cheap.
