i have noticed that i seem more 'swollen' inside than i did before ds was born (he's now 2). if i hold it all in, like doing a pelvic floor exercise the discomfort goes away. The inside front edge of my fanjo is quite tender and if i push against it it seems to disappear back to how it was before childbirth.

i had an episiotomy when ds was born and this causes me no problems at all. I should probably add that i haven't had an active sex life since ds' birth until recently when i met a new man.

so......i know a trip to the GP is in order, because i can't walk around doing a permanent pelvic floor tense. But has anyone got any experience, or any idea if this likely to be a change caused by childbirth, that i've only just discovered due to becoming sexually active again?

my new man is being very understanding about having to go easy on the intimate side of things, but this is so irritating i need to get it sorted. I just want some advice because my GP is likely to fob me off with more Canestan and i really don't think thrush is the problem.

it might be that your pelvic floor needs strengthening. I'm currently receiving physio for mine and it's really helped. Ask your GP to refer you to a gynae physio (if you have them in your area)
