DD has had really sore nappy rash for about 10 days. Savlon, metanium (my saviour with DS), bepanthen have all had no effect. Nor has changing wipes or nappies. DD's top layer of skin is basically off from the bottom of her labia to the top of her bum crack. Doing regular nappy off time for some days and again no difference. It doesn't look thrushy. Is there anything they can do? I don't think there is is there?

they would probably just prescribe something like metanium unless there was evidence of thrush. The best thing is something like nappy off time and a simple barrier like Shea butter which can help healing. You could also try using cooled chamomile tea as a wash when you changer her nappy as that is very soothing and ditch the prepackaged baby wipes.

An oat bath is excellent for sore skin & nappy rash. Basically fill an old pop sock/end of a tight leg with a handful of ordinary porridge oats, tie a knot in it & pop into a running bath. It turns the water all milky with it's soothing oils. The wet pop sock can then be used like a sponge to use more of its goodness.

Worked a treat on my DSs bad nappy rash.
