viral rash?

Our household have all had all manner of colds and bugs lately. Last night, I got extremely itchy and had a rash/blistery spot breakout all over. Not unusual for me as I have bad out of control eczema. Anyway, a cold shower and I was much better, though have torn my skin to shreds. Went through to DD when she woke at 1am and she was clawing at herself too. Again not unusal as she has eczema. But today she is all broken out, totally rashy and blotchy all over. DS also has the wee bits of rash too.

Could this be a viral rash we all have? I didn't think they were as blotchy and un-uniform? It's kind of like heat rash or folliculitis mixed together. or could we have some skin mite or something gross? Seems odd that we all get it...

chicken pox? there's a lot of it about if you read some of tonight's other threads.

Definately not chicken pox - the bumps are smaller and it's more rashy and I've definately had it before.

Anyone had scabies?
