If I go to the doctor and ask for help to lose weight

What will they do? Will they just offer me the NHS 4 week diet plan thing and tell me to go away? I've tried to diet so many times and I can't seem to stick to it at all. I know, I know, eat less move more, cut carbs, stop eating UPFs. But I'm almost 40, I've been overweight my entire life and I seem to get my weight under control. Is there any point in seeing the doctor or is there something I can do which will magically give me the willpower to stick to a diet?

Google your local council & weight loss, the nhs offers limited help in many areas and even then it’s often only if you are already diabetic, hypertensive or morbidly obese. Councils sometimes offer help
