Itchy rash around insect bite after 1 week

Exactly a week after some horrible insect bites (and after the initial awful reactions had finally calmed down) I seem to have developed an insanely itchy rash around a couple of them.

any idea what’s causing this/what I can do to relieve the hideous itching?

I can’t take antihistamines without them knocking me out for 24 hours (not possible with work/kids), but hydrocortisone doesn’t seem to be touching it.

Hopeful bump, the itching is unreal!

I’m no medical professional but it might be a reaction to the bite. I’d give my GP a call as that maybe the start of cellulitis or infection if it’s been in insect bite. Draw a line around the area with a pen to see if it’s tracking.
