Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or any ophthalmologists are about?
I suddenly got a "smudge" in my vision 3 months ago, went to eye clinic and they found a white spot on my retina and swelling in the same place. They were very negative about prognosis. Did all sorts of tests to find out a cause but they have all come back normal. They said it was likely to be permanent and that it might happen again, which has been very stressful thinking that I am slowly going blind.
This week I noticed the "smudge" has disappeared. Went back to the eye clinic and they confirmed it isn't there any longer. They are still really confused about what it is and what caused it. Again they are being quite pessimistic about it happening again.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone has any idea of what it could be? It seems odd that even the eye consultants/surgeons can't identify it.
