Buy insect repellent that contains DEET. Safe for humans and effective against biters and suckers. You'll also need anti histamine tablets and cream for the itch. A cold flannel works well too esp from the fridge

We’re using tropical level spray! The little shits are everywhere!

Eat lots of garlic. I very rarely get bitten and I've travelled all over the world.

I always take Deet .on holiday. I live in Scotland so I wear it here if I'm going to be in a "midge area. That and as a pp said antihistamines .

Worth a try??

Washing with Dove, Dial and Simple Truth increased the attractiveness of some, but not all, volunteers, while washing with Native soap tended to repel mosquitoes. The relatively repellent effect of Native could be linked to its coconut scent, the scientists said, as there is some evidence that coconut oils are a natural deterrent for mosquitoes.

Soap can make humans more attractive to mosquitoes, study finds

Researchers say mosquitoes may be attracted to soap because when not feeding on blood they supplement sugar intake with nectar

The sprays lose effectiveness quickly. You need DEET in a gel or lotion that you apply directly to your skin.
