Globus? Weird symptom

So I’ve had globus a few times in the past and I have it again. However this time it hurts. Whenever I swallow I can feel the pain as whatever I’m swallowing gets to the lump area which I’ve never had before.

everything I’ve read says globus shouldn’t be painful but this is, it feels like I have a sore throat but in the Adam’s apple area rather than higher up? I haven’t actually eaten at all today because it’s bothering me so much but every time I even swallow spit I am of course reminded.

has anyone else had it where it’s a bit sore as well? Could it be maybe where my throat was genuinely constricted (a bit stressed right now) and when I was eating it inflamed it which is what’s maybe causing the pain?

ex smoker and HPV positive (cervically) so a bit worried it’s not globus at all.
