I have raised ( abnormal) ca125

Score - 94
.
(Had period then )

Was re done when didnt have period and got 70..

Still double the normal

Normal is up to 35..

Had a trans vaginal scan
To rule out ovarian cancer :)

That was ok - just small fibroid found

Any other ideas ?!

Apparently just a small fibroid shouldnt raise it that much

Its guna be tested again in a month

I had full bloods in spring

Had3 polyps out my bowel late may

We discovered raised ca125 in june...

Have b12 - vit D - and Feretin being kept an eye on next week

Omg I could have written this myself. I hope you are doing ok! Did you ever manage to get to the bottom of your raised levels?

mines has been hovering around the 50 mark now for close to a year. It spikes to 95 during my period and then comes back down. I have had x2 ultrasounds, one of them showing a very small intramural fibroid (1cm). Due to the continuous fluctuations I eventually (9 months later) got a CT which didn’t pick up anything other than a very small functional cyst that was likely due to ovulation and has since disappeared.

im happy with clear scans but a bit tense about why my levels are raised!

Me too. Few years ago had routine bloods and ca125 was 115. Ended up having biopsy and scans.... nothing. Blood redone and still 95. Consultant said I just had a naturally higher level.

Hi! Have you ever been checked for endometriosis? I have heard a few people with similar levels ended up being diagnosed with that. I know it doesn’t always show on scans so the only way to diagnose is a laparoscopy, which my consultant is currently reluctant to do

Ca125 can be raised due to pcos
Or endo
Or various other things - inflammation etc

Mines currently 50 something

Lower than when it was 90 something and then 70 ish at least

thats great that yours seems to be coming down, did you ever find a cause ? My scans have been normal so far and my gynae is reluctant to do a lap just yet

hopefully everything comes back fine, are they planning on doing a CT or have you had one already? This is what I had after months of raised levels and normal ultrasounds

Goodluck! I hope it gives you peace of mind. My CT was normal but laparoscopy showed endometriosis
