Low white blood count

Two rounds of blood tests (on HRT and also have low mood - been prescribed sertraline but not yet started) and both have shown low white blood count and platelets. All other blood tests normal.

Readings are 3.2 wbc and platelet 137.

Just wondered if anyone had similar? Could it just be one of those things? GP has asked to be tested again in 6 months but a quick Google has worried me a bit. GP not overly concerned but did talk about maybe getting my blood under a microscope.

Definitely worth pushing for that blood film now rather than waiting for it for peace of mind/answers if it’s bothering you.

I think the problem is it could be so many things or just one of those things not to worry about. The blood film will at least help provide a bit more data. There is so much great information that we do have access to now (amongst all the crap), but if you don’t have enough info to narrow stuff down then you can end up thinking the worst or missing something that should be taken more seriously.

Yes and the GP did mention about getting it under a microscope but then said she’d check with her senior GP.
