Lump in throat/nausea

I'll preface this by saying I have severe emetophobia so any kind of nauseous sensation sends me into a panic that I have a stomach bug. Since I woke up this morning (so 9 hours now), I've had a nauseous sensation in my throat, but not in my stomach. At first I thought it was hunger so I had breakfast and a coffee as usual, which didn't help but also didn't make it worse. By lunchtime I felt so nauseous I just went to bed for a couple of hours before I had to collect my daughter from school. 4pm now and it's still there. I can't work out if it is actually nausea, or it's the lump in my throat sensation. What could it be? I should add that I do have IBS, and I've had this during a flare up before, but usually accompanied with stomach ache which I don't have today. I have been to the toilet more but is not loose. I can't decide if I'm hungry or not, I've just had a peppermint tea and 2 plain biscuits. Could it be a stomach bug or do you think I would have had diarrhoea or sickness by now?
