left a nappy in the washing machine - how toxic are those gel thingys which are now everywhere

and what do i need to do now? - have picked them off DD clothes and am re-washing...

No idea on whether the gel is toxic but I think a rewash will do.

The fluff can cling on through a couple of washes though. I dried the clothes after 2nd wash and wore them on a day at home which got most of the bits off. Then when they were rewashed they came out fluff-free!
