Blood pressure readings

I'm taking my bp twice a day and sending it to the doctor, as I'm tapering off my meds from preeclampsia. Would you take just one reading, or lowest of 2? I find my first reading is always the highest. For example I just took my bp. About a minute apart each one. First one was 129/88, next 121/85 and then 120/84. I don't want to be recording them too low and reducing my meds too much but I'm unsure which one to use. It's always much lower in the morning anyway so it doesn't worry me as much.

When I’ve been asked to record blood pressure readings I’ve been told to take three readings and then work out the average and use that. If the first one is markedly higher then I would disregard it (I’m not a medical professional though so wait for someone knowledgeable to answer!).

I work processing things like this and if you submit both it's likely they will use only the lowest one per day to calculate your average BP.
If you feel better to include them all then do so, that way the doctor will see all the numbers even if the administrator only records it using the lowest ones.

I was told to take 2 readings a minute apart and submit the lowest one.

Thanks all. I like the idea of the best of 2 or 3!
