Eczema, urticaria, and cleansing

How do you cleanse your face when you have an attack or flare-up of eczema and or urticaria?

I've got both (oh joy ). I've been battling an attack of eczema for a few weeks - the Eumocream seemed to be helping for a while, but I think it's now making things worse - and have now had an allergic reaction to something and have a cheekful of urticaria. Hydrocortisone and antihistamines, ho hum. But it's all greasy manky gunk, how do I cleanse? Or do I slap layer upon layer, and wait for my skin to recover before cleansing?

If it was me, everyday, whether it's a flare-up or not, I wash my face with warm water and a flannel (removing my eye makeup with Tesco all over baby wash) and then moisturise with either aqueous cream or Nutrimetics moisturiser.

Not sure what urticaria is?

pc you can use the cream as a soap substitute if it is water based- e45 or dermol for instance.it won't lather but it will clean your skin a little.use on a cotton facecloth or muslin square. dampen in warm water and dot with the cream pat face gently and rinse.

i also use the bath emollient in a basin with a drop of tea tree oil, but you might need to test that on your hand skin first.

afterwards lather with moisture cream to soothe.
