Hi all

Has anyone let their year 8 boy have the hpv vaccine? Any side effects? Should I have any concerns? Thanks

Yes, both of mine had it. No side effects. Offers protection against mouth and throat cancer.

I paid £400 for my kids to have it, so, no ... no concerns.

You're really lucky you don't have to pay that much to prevent your kids getting oral cancers from hpv

My Ds had it a year later - due to lockdown … he had no side effects .

of you google it you will see why they need it …

Mine has had it. The first jab anyway.

No side effects that I can see (and he has some immune issues including asthma and anaphylactic allergies and a range of hive responses to things we are not sure of the cause as yet).

But granted I am a big believer in vaccines. Not least because I worked for 15 years in developing countries where kids were dying of measles.

Pretty much everyone lets their children have it don't they?
