Help, daughters doing a science project on
Does what you eat affect Performance?
(she's 12)

She needs to collect 5 pieces of evidence that support "YES" and "No"

She has all the information to support "Yes"
but we can't find any information to support the answer "No"

Please can anyone point us in the right direction or make any suggestions

Thanks very much

What do you mean by 'performance'?

there's got to be something out there saying that you have to eat 300000 'omega 3 enriched' of anything before you accumulate enough omega 3 to be worth anything. And that it makes no difference anyway. I think Ben Goldacre (Bad Science, Guardian) has covered this one. And if he has, it will be good

I'm guessing they mean Mental and Physical performance

The occasional biscuit or slice of cake isn't going to affect performance much, if the whole diet is reasonably healthy. Saying that, apparently horses run faster if they're given Mars Bars!
