Hi..
I have tested positive for covid . I feel terrible. I am also due to have urgent surgery next week. My mental health is bad in general and I am just feeling really down.
It’s just me here with the children as my husband works away.
Just wanted to have some handholds please. This is really shit.

Sorry to hear that 😕 Which day next week is your op? I hope you're recovered in time Flowers

It is really shit! You poor thing. I am sending a hand hold. Are they OK to do the surgery in spite of the covid, or is it going to be delayed? Have you got helpful people/family around?

Thank you for the handholds. It’s looking unlikely for the surgery- something to do with severe risk of respiratory distress whilst being intubated during GA after having covid.
It is a bit pants to be honest as this surgery is urgent . They’ve told me that.

Have you spoken to the team who’ll be looking after you? The decision to proceed/postpone is complicated when people have covid and need urgent surgery - sometimes it is safer to crack on, sometimes it’s safer to postpone but they’re the only ones that can really advise about that though. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
