When she was 3 my dd was badly scalded in a kitchen accident. Her entire right arm is scarred, and although the pressure garment/silicone patches/gel etc helped, they are still a rather dimpled texture and quite obvious. She doesn't care at the moment, but I'm wondering what options she may have if they bother her in the future. At the time we were told she could get laser treatment when she's a bit older, but looking at the NHS page on scars they don't seem keen on it now. Are they just balking at the cost?
If anyone has had treatment to reduce scars that have already matured (over 2 years old), would you mind sharing? NHS or private? Were the results good?
