Tiny cut on inner labia

I'm hoping someone can help or at least tell me they have had something similar.

For the last two months I've had a tiny little paper cut type thing on my inner labia. Ive tried every cream under the sun and nothing makes it go away.

I'm 35 with no children and not actively having sex at the moment. I have an appointment in two weeks with my GP but my brain is running away with me. I've convinced myself I have vulval cancer 😭

Has anyone had this before and it's not been anything sinister?

Hi. I have a condition called Lichen Sclerosis which started exactly like this over 20 years ago. It's nothing to do with sexual activity and it can't be passed on - but left untreated it can get worse and be quite uncomfortable.

I had a private biopsy with a dermatologist specialising in this - and for all this time it's been controlled with dermovate (strong topical steroid).

It's reasonably common sadly. I had a friend recently diagnosed with it and she was saying there's now diets and all sorts to control it.

I have flare ups when I'm stressed but I suspect it's a similar problem to a cold sore where you can feel it coming - so I've learned to get the ointment on before it progresses.

Hope that helps. Good luck ❤️

Ps. Obviously don't take my word for it. But you can start your gp conversation saying that you would like to find out if that's what it is. ❤️
