Lump under jaw

Really hoping people will tell me this is nothing to worry about. Had a small lump come up on my neck at the end of last week. It's about pea sized, hard, didn't hurt at first but does now. It's moveable too. It doesn't have a head so don't think it's a spot. Anyone got any idea? It's kind of just under my jaw.

It’s probably a gland.

is it red because its irritated by a collar or because its inflamed? Movable is usually a good sign thought that's not much help. I had a small lump that quickly grew, turned out to be a stone in the saliva duct but it never was inflamed like the photo (ultra-sound moved the stone and no issues since).

I'd say mosquito bite (or ingrowing hair - I've had one similar). But if it doesn't go down by Sunday, I'd make an appointment next week anyway.

@SOBplus it just red all the time, it hasn't been irritated by anything as it's too high up to be caught by clothes etc. the pain on it has definitely got worse today though

Could be just a blocked pore, which would make it red and painful and wouldn't necessarily develop a "head" as that is the build up of bacteria and white blood cells. Like I mentioned, movable is usually good as usually means relatively minor. Treat with warm moist heat and if it persists, get it checked out. Sorry not much help specifically.
