Partners toes. Less red than yesterday when I put a silver dressing on.
He swears compeed blister plasters will be good.
I can't think what it is.
Any ideas? Athlete's foot ?Wouldn't it be more widespread?

Thank you @TwoFourSixEightNeverTooLate .He does treat his feet for fungal infections and uses lamisal.
Change socks frequently, don’t share towels he does this, but not this spray inside shoes.
Despite much nagging. Sigh.

I'd say fungal, too. If daktarin doesn't sort it, he may need a (painless) scrape done so the doctor can prescribe tailored creams.

It looks like athletes foot to me. When he showers he must dry between each toe before anything else. It's important.

Thank you .

He covers the inflamed areas (because they are sore). Is that ok? Will it make it worse being tucked up all warm and damp?

I do need to get him to change his behaviour.

Fungal infections love warm and damp environments. He needs to be letting his feet breathe whenever he can.

I’ve got an incredible anti-fungal organic wash from Amazon. It’s by rosamundbeauty or something like that. Cleared up my fungal foot AND nail and now seems to be clearing up my husband’s fungal nail, which he’s had for about 20 years and was resistant to hardcore prescription pills! Purple bottle, sorry can dig link out tomorrow if you like. The standard OTC Daktarin/Scholl etc sprays and creams have never really worked for me.

rileynexttime · 04/07/2023 08:52

@Pollywoddles yes that's what worries me . He wants to cover them because they are sore with footwear and walking but you confirm what I think.
@Nellynoowhoareyou yes I'd be v grateful for a link or name of product.
Thank you both

I'd be interested in that link, too! 😊

Needs to wear different shoes each day along with all the other stuff on this thread (would love that antifungal wash rec too). Apparently shoes take 24h to dry out properly after you've worn them.

Price seems to fluctuate a bit but I’ve just ordered another bottle anyway in case I drive demand up suddenly by posting here 😅

When I had widespread athletes foot , which did unfortunately look like the pictures , I tried everything and eventually had a 6 month course of Terbinafine tablets . It cleared it up and that was about 15 + years ago and I’ve never had athletes foot since .
