Awful IBS if I’m woken up earlier than normal

I get awful IBS symptoms (sometimes incontinence!) when I’m woken up earlier than normal / if I need to go somewhere early and it’s out of my bodies routine.

I have an early morning flight coming up and i’ll need to wake up at 3/4am - is there anything I can do / prepare to help ease or stop these symptoms? I would hate to be cut short on the way to the airport 😞I’ve noticed it usually comes on an hour-2hours after i’ve woken up.

take Loperamide.

I take one per day and always take them before a flight or big event

Second the Loperamide (Imodium).

I’m beyond being embarrassed about it, but if I’m really nervous about potentially needing the loo desperately and being away from one, I wear a pull up / adult nappy. Just knowing that if I have an accident, it’ll be less obvious and easier to clean up usually reduces my anxiety and stress and actually makes the accident less likely to happen.
