Throbbing tooth pain.. help

I haven't been very good at taking care of my teeth recently I admit I haven't been very well. I do clean them twice a day but sometimes just rush it.
I've since been flossing and using an electric toothbrush and mouthwash and after flossing the top back molars. I've experienced this pulsating throbbing pain.
Went to dentist today and X-rays says no decay and no visible cracks etc. she said flossing can cause this ? And just to take painkillers!

She said there was no infection so no antibiotics needed. So I don't know what to do. Jus leave it a few days and see if it gets better or worse. It's killing me and I can't eat. Has anyone had this? Or can recommend anything to help
Thanks x x

As far as I know you shouldn’t use mouthwash after toothpaste, as it washes off the goodness of the toothpaste.
I use floss in the morning and those tooth sticks at night. Just keep going, mine feel a bit like they’ve moved after I floss

I have similar pain at the moment. Cocodamol and ibuprofen are the only things that are touching it.

Thankyou ! I just didn't realise flossing could cause this much pain! But I suppose when my gums aren't healthy and are sensitive this is going to happen! I'm away for the weekend too tomorrow 😫 hope everyone feels better soon xx
