I had liver function blood tests done last Friday, I have had a phone call from the surgery this morning and have to go have them done again this Friday at the doctor’s request. The receptionist didn’t know why.
Should I be concerned? I had some slightly abnormal results two years ago and went for a scan but never received the results despite speaking to the consultant’s secretary (who said it was overlooked in a tray and I would be hearing from them) and then escalating to PALS.
I moved house in March and my new GP thought it should be looked at again as the results were unknown.
I have also just been diagnosed as pre diabetic and have stuck to a low carb diet for nearly three weeks, but I think I will have to cut fat too if there is a problem with my liver so can’t imagine what I will eat 😕
Just for reference I only drink alcohol about once a month if that and only 1 or 2 units.
