Is this normal? Heart related

Let me start by saying that I do have health anxiety, and I'm on the waiting list for CBT, so I'm not sure if I'm right to be concerned or if it's my HA getting the better of me.

I can often feel my heart beat strongly, and I can see my chest/upper body/stomach beating/pulsing. Not muscle spasms but my actual heart beat. Obviously I've had a Google and now i'm worrying about aortic aneurysms 🫣

Is this normal...?

🙈

I can see & feel mine. Are you quite slim? I couldn’t see/feel mine until I lost weight. I was always upper end of BMI, once I got to the lower end it started to be noticeable. I also panicked about AA but seemingly it’s normal if you are slim.
Again, this sensation is just due to blood flowing through your abdominal aorta. If you don't have a lot of abdominal fat, you might even be able to see your stomach pulsating. This is completely normal and should go away once you stand up

Thanks for your reply @BeCruelToBeKind

I'm not slim anymore 🤦‍♀️ I used to be but I'm in the middle of the 'overweight' category now. I read that bit too in one of my many Googles, but sadly it doesn't apply here! I'm about 13st and 5'7"

Yes that is within the range of normal.
