Put ds to bed half an hour ago and since then he's been cough wheeze cough wheeze

Hope we don't end up with another full blown asthma attack

Oh no ! Its horrible isn't it.

Must be something in the air - DS has woken himself up coughing the last couple of nights in spite of upping his steroids. He'd been so good the last couple of weeks too.

Oh Ali, no...fingers crossed for you. We just got back from holiday: dd1 started some sort of cough/wheeze/fever thing on the second day, and is on her second lot of ABs for it....am beginning to wonder if its asthma too, as her cough is so much worse at night, and not just a drippy-nose sort. Its scary, and horrible, and I really really hope you don't have to head to hospital again tonight - will be thinking of you, and ds. xxx

Well dh has just had to give him 10 puffs of ventolin he was struggling quite bad

If he needed 10 puffs you should be phoning nhs direct re out of hours service

10 puffs is the first step on his action plan from the consultant at hospital, the next step is another 10 puffs then 4 prednisolone then hospital.

Just hope it doesn't come to that.

Well he settled after the ten puffs and managed to go every four hours through the night.

He's still wheezy and has now got green snot (tmi) pouring out his nose so I'm going to keep a close eye on him.

get him in a steamy shower.
