Lyme disease worry

I had a tiny tick the size of a pin head on my ankle 3 weeks ago, I found it the day after walking through a private field where there deer. I found it roughly 18 hrs after the walk.
I am not 100% sure it was a tick as I was shaving in the bath when I found it and I saw this black 'hair' that would shave off so I picked it with tweezers and it was either a very small tick (couldn't see a head just legs) or a hair follicle that had several hairs that I had just plucked out of my leg 🤣

No bullseye rash, nothing out of the ordinary until today 3 weeks post 'possible tick bite' I have woke up with aching neck, hands and arms.
My mind went back to the possible tick bite and now I'm worried about Lyme disease.
Should I be worried?
Or is this just likely to be a coincidence?

Hmm tricky one. It COULD be. But more likely not, so don't freak out.

Did you just wake up with these symptoms today? If so, see if they last a couple of days and if they do make a gp appointment? I wouldn't mention the possibility it was leg hairs though 😆

On the other hand if the symptoms can be explained by anything else, such as other people you have been in contact with also have them, I'd assume it was that.

Id ring the GP or 111 for reassurance.

Just make a GP appointment and ask to get checked for Lyme Disease.

Lyme Disease is only a problem if left untreated.

Fingers crossed whatever it is gets sorted soon.
