I wasn't sure where to put this so having a punt here.
I've had an abscess under a molar for a couple of weeks and been on antibiotics. For the past few days it seems to have popped out on the side of my gum.
Today I went to the dentist and she drained it and started my root canal treatment. I'm not sure what she did exactly as I have a phobia of dental treatment and she doesn't tell me much but mentioned opening up the tooth, she found three canals and has put a filling back over the top. I need to go back for an hour appointment to finish the treatment but she wants to make sure the infection is all gone before doing that.
Anyway after the procedure today I wasn't really with it after being in a state of night anxiety for 30 minutes and she said no eating for the rest of the day. I've only had breakfast and I'm now very hungry! Did she really mean no eating until tomorrow? Or maybe not on that side? I don't want to do anything to jeopardise what she's done but I could really do with eating! I've had soup but it's just not cutting it!
