Accidentally took 225mg Venlafaxine instead of 150mg

I'm really worried - what should I do?

The NHS advice is to phone 111.

It doesn't sound like a serious OD, though, so don't panic.

It should be fine. I have done it myself lots of times by mistake (autopilot first thing in the morning and not concentrating when medicating) and have never had any problem or side effects. Try not to freak out or over think it or you might start to imagine symptoms that aren't there.

I've just looked online and you can be prescribed up to 225mg of venlafaxine. So you should be fine. It isn't an overdose. Maybe you'll just get a couple of side effects for a day or so.

Thanks everyone. I tried to phone a local pharmacy but they were on lunch. I feel okay, so am just going to monitor myself.

You should be fine, I'm on 300mg daily and once forgot that I'd already took my dose for the day so took it again, ending up on 600mg.
You may feel totally fine, or you could have mild side effects at some point in the next couple of days. But honestly nothing to worry about
