Lump on jaw

Scared found hard pea sized lump on jaw 2 weeks ago

I had exactly this and was terrified. Referred to haematology a couple of years ago and was convinced it was going to be cancerous! I discovered from the consultant that we have lymph nodes in a line like a string of beads around the jaw- this was just a blocked one or one that had become swollen when I had a cold/flu.

It was there for a while but eventually disappeared. Do get it checked out but try not to worry too much, if it’s quite hard and pea sized it sounds exactly like a lymph node.

Get it checked, most likely to be a lymph node . Don’t keep touching it as it will make it worse .

This is on side of jaw I thought lymph nodes were under jaw

As I understand it, they run along the jaw bone- the lump I had wasn’t really underneath the jaw but it felt like it was on the bone so between the side and underneath. It could be that yours is different so do obviously get it checked out!

Appointment with doctor he thinks it’s a blocked lymph gland has arranged urgent appointment for me next week however I now have a lot of discomfort side of face and ear feels blocked - anyone experienced this please
