My DS5 has had this quite a bit. He was referred to a paediatrician after it had happened several times and has now been diagnosed with coeliac disease. I think bleeding is more usually caused by a small fissure or crack, or from constipation, but if it happens again I would get it checked out.

thanks for reply, defiantly not constipated.goes daily and more often than not slightly runny bum due to cows milk intolerance.i did look at his bum(i love being a mum)and no cracks or cuts etc.

Yes, mine tends to have bleeding even when his poos are slightly runny. My GP was concerned enough to refer him to the hospital as I said. A blood test was positive for coeliacs and a biopsy confirmed it. How is your DSs weight?

hes probably slightly underweight.not sure but compared to others at baby group he is small.he was tiny at birth but got big quickly and was probably average or slightly bigger now slowed down.
he had tiny bit of blood today which i probably wouldnt have noticed if hadnt been looking for it.i think i'll see what hes like over weekend,if he has it again i'll phone gp.he does seem fine though, playing and as bonkers as usual
