Gall stones/ bladder

Can anyone share their symptoms of gall stones/ gall bladder issues please?

I've had an intense pain, almost like a burning/ stabbing in my left side for months now. Pain in my abdomen and pain after bowels are opened.

I've just had a CT scan, got an ultrasound scan on Thursday and GP appointment on 28th June to discuss the results.

I feel totally grim in the mornings, with this pain and additional nausea.

I'm post menopausal.

Thanks

Your gallbladder is on the right so it doesn't sound like gallstones to me.

Mine started as a severe pain just under my ribs on the right which I later realised was triggered by eating rich / fatty food on an empty stomach. It later became a dull ache which never went away. My back would also really hurt, for a long while I thought it was muscular. I'd also get refered pain in my right arm, not sure how common or not that is.

I hope your results are useful and you get sorted soon.

Ah yes, just been reading up on the whereabouts of the gall bladder. Suppose I'm clutching at straws here, as to what might be.

Back to the drawing board then.

Did you have your gall bladder removed?

Yes I did, only 2 weeks ago and I feel a lot better, really fast recovery too, I'm glad I did. I was on a waiting list for 20 months though.

Good luck at your appointment, I really hope they shed some light and / or that someone else comes along soon with some useful ideas.

Thanks so much.
Glad you feel better, that's good to hear.

I feel grim sadly 😢
