Hay fever

I think my DD12 has been suffering from hay fever, lots of sneezing, stuff and runny nose; admin’s the blowing is causing her nose bleed. She has sore throat now too.

She started in a school with lots of trees and I wonder if this is the cause as didn’t have it before.

What is the best and safest treatment? Are nasal spray safe? Read that some could be addictive? Read about salt caves? Is this safe? Also read about an injection once a year?

Thank you

She could try an antihistamine - you can buy loratidine, cetirizine and fexofenadine OTC - just check the age/weight guides. Corticosteroid nasal sprays aren't addictive and might help.

Thank you very much. Will check those out.

Sorry to hear this worldwide. I gave her a tablet today which helped a bit but her nose is very irritated and red; will but a nasal spray and see the dr on Monday. I feel for her.

Yeah.. its horrible
And shes young too

I spent a lot of my 20s and 30s moving round 4 work

Hayfever wise - lived in Austria for a year - it never bothered me there

Heres to the incoming rain which should help :)

I tried some wipes once that helped a bit

Some people change their pillow cases really often and even try a sleep mask thats from freezer etx

But yea - nose wise its hard

Ive found the mega sneezing this month has really effected my nose

I am praying for the rain now. She never suffered before but it is bad at the moment; went for a walk today and my friend said she is also suffering this time but the tablets gave her immediate relief; she never suffered before.

Its been brutal today! Myltiple sneezing attacks, gone through a box of tissues. Had my fexofenadine, nose spray, eye drops but it just had zero effect. It got so bad I took an extra tablet.. really regret that as its drained my energy and I feel terribly drowsy.
