Anyone else have swollen ankles?

My ankles have ballooned in this heat these past two days and are starting to get uncomfortable. Has this happened to anyone else and what have you done to reduce the swelling?

All I can find on google is drink more water (I am) and rotate/move the ankles (I am). This also happened last year during the heatwave but I was mostly bedbound so figured it was due to that.

I get swollen ankles (or ankle - it's mainly my left) following a bad break and surgery 8 years ago.

Plenty fluids seems counterintuitive but helps. Plenty walking about and keeping your foot/feet elevated especially in the hottest part of the day. Cool sleeping room at night and I fill a hot water bottle with ice cold water and rest my ankle on that.

Important tip: put your shoes on in the morning. It's harder after lunch!!

I had a spate of it a few years back. The only thing that really worked was putting them in ice water. The swelling comes right down quite quickly.

Elevate your legs using a footstool or box to rest your feet. This helps, particularly in the evening.

Thanks all. Good tip about the shoes!

Yes I was going to say elevate in between moving. And ice.
