Burnout?

I got back some urine/blood test work yesterday from my doctor. According to these I have low cortisol and the lowest level of dopamine she’s ever seen. Serotonin and adrenaline are also out of sync as is vitamin D.

She says that this means I have a burnout. Life has been pretty hard for a few years, I don’t sleep much, work full time and look after four children (husband works a lot so is rarely around). No outside help (we don’t live near family). I exercise lots and eat healthily. Don’t drink too much, don’t smoke.

Have looked up burnout symptoms and lots, but not all, fits: I have little pleasure in things, think poorly of myself etc, but can sleep well when I have the chance and am rarely ill.

My question is: do results like this suggest a burnout in the sense I’m understanding it (ie how it’s portrayed in the media)? And if so, what can I do? My doctor suggested supplements but that seems like just sticking a plaster over it if it’s lifestyle causing it. Any and all advice welcomed: I don’t really know where to go from here.

I’ve also had a low cortisol result today - mine were 225 but I think normal levels are over 400.

I also went to the Dr’s as I’ve been feeling so down with zero energy to do anything. I have 4 year old twins and it’s not been an easy 4 years.

I’m yet to have a conversation with my Dr as the results only came in today.

good luck fining a solution though xx
