Itchy eyes

For several months now I've been dealing with intensely itchy eyes.
Inner corners and underneath the upper lash line , on the inside.
Its constant all day long and it's stressing me out really badly. Most nights it's keeping me awake til 4 /5 am because I can't stop tearing at my eyes. I eventually fall asleep because I'm so exhausted. Its leaving me exhausted all day long , every day.
I've tried optrex drops ect and it's given zero relief.
Its impossible to speak to a gp right now, mine just aren't taking appointments unless it's an emergency but I'm just wondering do you think there's anything prescription strength that the gp could prescribe to help with this at all?

Could it be hayfever?

Try an OTC antihistamine and see what happens.

I get this. It started at the menopause. I kept ending up in sue casualty because l kept scratching my corneas when rubbing them.

l see an occular allergist. I have steroid drops twice a day and am monitored regularly. Anti histamines and otc eye drops don’t touch it.

You will damage your eyes if you run them. You need to see an eye specialist urgently. Do you have an eye casualty unit?
