Is this something that needs to be checked??

Went out today with the family and started to feel unwell so had to come home, suddenly felt very weak and had a pounding headache which I put down to being out in this heat for a few hours. As soon as I got home I struggled to stay awake and kept dozing off on the sofa so my partner sent me up to bed where I had an nap for an hour.

It's now a good 4/5 hours later and I've started to wheeze and feel like I have a brick on my chest. Am I wrong to think I can just sleep this off and it'll be gone in the morning? 😅

If you're having trouble breathing please get checked out, if you don't want to make a fuss please call 111 an let then advise you.

@GherkinsOnToast Ah so not something I can just hope to ignore then? 😅 thanks for the advice

Sounds like the symptoms I had when I had covid.

Not looking to get into a debate with anyone re the current guidance or merits on testing, but in your position I'd test myself OP. Even if purely to check if that's why I was feeling the way I am. Sometimes even knowing what you're dealing with or why you're feeling the way you are is a comfort

I would take some painkillers and try to get a good nights sleep. Sounds like a virus

In all honesty I don't feel ill in myself other than the headache, I'm almost at the end of a course of antibiotics however for a throat infection and this morning was the first day I woke up and felt good. Sods law!! I've got myself into bed now and feel like it's more work to breathe lay down.

Absolutely would test for covid symptoms if I had a test in the house, not something I keep stock of anymore unfortunately

If you have a feeling of something weighing down on your chest (a brick you said) I would seek medical advice straight away
