Buccastem M

I have an ear infection and a few years ago I had Labyrinthitis which was horrendous and I woke up with the room spinning so I am worried this is going to happen again. I was looking to get Stemetil but it’s prescription only so someone recommended me Buccastem M which I can get from boots. The only thing is the reviews only mention sickness/nausea. Has anyone taken this for Vertigo.

Yes,it helped,didn't have side effects

Both stemetil and buccastem are trade names for the same drug - prochlorperazine. The over the counter version is probably a lower dose. I'd ask the pharmacist.

I've had it prescribed for chronic vertigo, it worked very well!
If it starts to come back I take a tablet at bedtime and that usually does the trick.

Thank you for the replies. The thing is I have had this ear infection for 2 weeks and I haven’t had vertigo so there is a good chance it won’t happen it’s just the memory of the vertigo I had before still makes me freak out whenever I have anything to do with my ears.
