dent in head

I just did the most stupid thing. Opened a kitchen cupboard door, bent down to pick something up off the floor, stood up and whacked my head on the door.

There is a dent at the back of my head, about the size of a finger-tip, and it is bleeding but gradually clotting up. It will be hidden by my hair so a scar won't matter. If it is clotting, and I don't feel concussed, just stupid and in pain, can someone just confirm that I don't need to do anything about it?

Ouch.

a dent? in the skull? or like a skin dent?

A skin dent but quite deep.

I personally would just chalk it up to experience and be careful when brushing/washing hair for a few days

That's what I thought HCTGs. I don't see what anyone could do except stitch it and, if the blood is clotting, there's not much point, is there?

I just won't be able to go for the shaved head look - probably just as well.

i think it's probably ok too
i guess you look out for the normal things with head injuries
over the next 24
dizziness, nausea etc
but it sounds ok to me (non modical person)

I'll ring NHS direct just to make sure.
