Do you drink alcohol after gallbladder removal?

I have two family members that don't really drink alcohol now after having their gallbladders removed. Im 28 and had mine removed last year - my gallbladder was affected by my pregnancy. Im wondering if anyone still drinks alcohol after having it removed? I know that our livers are now working harder but no healthcare professional has told me to strictly avoid alcohol. Thanks.

Yes (well, I did until I gave it up). Nobody every suggested that I shouldn't.

Absolutely. Was never told not to. Not sure where on earth your relatives have got that form?

Yup! I was never told not to.

I had my gallbladder removed recently and was never told to avoid alcohol - just to be gradual when introducing fattier foods back in to my diet.

I gave up alcohol a few years ago so can't tell you if it is actually ok or not.

Maybe they just don't like how it makes them feel? Lots of people don't drink as much as they did when they were younger as they get older.
