So I have just had the nastiest case of tonsilitis, 10 day course but on day 8 (today) I have picked up a stomach bug and could not keep anything down so I messaged the doctor as I am still experiencing a really sore throat but no swelling or pus anymore. Doctor said to stop anti biotics and focus on fluids to prevent dehydration.
My concern is that the tonsilitis will come back worse? As mentioned I still have a sore throat and don't feel 100% but I imagine that's also because of this gross stomach bug I now have. I've been so unwell recently I was also diagnosed with gallstones not too long ago so it's like one thing after another! Has anyone had this where they have stopped the anti biotics early and been ok? I am also scared of resistance as I was given several earlier this year when I did not have an infection (skin condition it ended up being)
