Dry Skin on my Eye - Don't want to use Steroid Cream

I have a patch of dry skin in the corner of my eyelid that the GP has prescribed a mild steroidal cream for. I don't fancy using the cream.

I don't wear eyeshadow, and have used the same brand of mascara for ages so I don't see that the mascara is the problem.

Can anyone suggest a way of getting rid of this flare up?

Aqueous cream might help. Wouldn't fancy using a steroid cream near eyes!

I used a steroid cream (Valisone - this was in the US) on my eyes for a number of years and it worked a treat. But at the moment, I'm keeping the dry skin somewhat at bay using the calendula cream by Jurlique.

Would you mind telling me what your GP prescribed? I know you don't like it, but I need something and can mention it to mine. :)

Sorry JJ, I can't. As soon as I left the surgery I threw the prescription into the bin! Shock

Momp, that's ok! I'd like to be able to wear eye makeup soon (have huge dark circles under my eyes), so should get myself to a doctor.
