Advice for a bite please

I took the dog for a walk in the woods near a reservoir at the weekend something has bitten me on my leg no idea what it is and it's itching like mad. I've tried savlon and bite and sting cream, anyone have any suggestions please?

Take antihistamine and maybe see pharmacist to see what they advise

If its on your lower leg I would suspect it's a horse fly bite. Painful itchy and annoying! Mine swelled up like a balloon and I had to get antibiotics. Hopefully yours will get better quickly!
